Clear numbers. Confident decisions.

Here's what working together looks like.

  • Books closed and reconciled on time, every month
  • Financial statements you can actually read and use
  • Optional financial operations support, including bill pay
  • Tax-ready financials and year-end coordination with your CPA
  • A trusted partner as your business grows

Currently accepting new clients in Massachusetts and throughout New England.

Built for service businesses where the owner is still in it.

I work best with owner-led service businesses in New England where the owner is still hands-on and needs reliable financial support without managing every detail themselves. That includes professional services like architecture, engineering, design, and consulting, as well as specialty trades and other service-based businesses.

Specialty Trades

HVAC, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, and other trade businesses.

Professional Services

Architecture, engineering, design, consulting, and other expertise-driven businesses.

Growing and ready to get organized

Revenue is real and growing, but the financial operations haven't kept up.

Owners who want less financial administration

You didn't start your business to manage bills, chase reports, or wonder if the books are accurate.

Two ways to work together.

Both options include accurate books and monthly financial reporting. The difference is how much of the financial administration I help manage on your behalf.

About

More than bookkeeping. Less than a full accounting department.

I started Grounded Numbers because I saw how much time business owners were spending on financial administration when they should have been focused on serving clients and growing their businesses.

I'm a CPA with a decade of experience across public accounting firms and industry — which means I bring more than transaction entry to the table. Your books are accurate, your financials mean something, and your tax preparer isn't cleaning up surprises at year-end.

When you work with me, you work directly with me. No junior staff, no handoffs. I work best with service businesses that value communication, organization, and long-term relationships. Based in western Massachusetts, serving clients virtually across New England.

Things people usually ask before reaching out.

Do I need to be local to work with you?
+
Not at all. I work entirely virtually and serve clients across New England. Everything is handled through cloud-based software. You'll never need to drive anywhere or drop off a box of receipts.
What's the difference between your two service options?
+
Both include accurate monthly bookkeeping and financial reporting. The Financial Operations Support option adds bill pay workflow management, vendor invoice processing, and payment administration — essentially handling more of your financial operations so you're spending less time on it yourself. If you're not sure which fits, we'll figure it out on our call.
How is your pricing structured?
+
Flat monthly fees based on the complexity and scope of your engagement. Bookkeeping and Financial Reporting engagements average around $1,250/month. Financial Operations Support engagements average around $2,500/month. No hourly billing, no surprise charges.
What accounting software do you work in?
+
I primarily work in QuickBooks Online, but I'm open to discussing other platforms depending on your setup. If you're already using something that works for your business, we can talk through whether it makes sense to stay on it or transition.
My books are a mess. Is that a problem?
+
No, and it's more common than you'd think. Part of onboarding often involves a historical cleanup. We'll figure out where things stand, get current, and establish a clean baseline going forward. It's a scoping conversation, not a dealbreaker.
I already have a CPA for taxes. Can we still work together?
+
Absolutely. I handle bookkeeping and monthly financials and coordinate with your tax preparer at year-end so handoff is smooth. Having a CPA-background bookkeeper often makes tax season considerably easier for everyone involved.
What size businesses do you typically work with?
+
I work best with owner-led service businesses in the $500K to $5M annual revenue range where the owner is still hands-on and wants reliable financial support without managing every detail themselves.
Do you work with businesses outside of the industries listed above?
+
Yes. The industries listed are a reflection of who I work with most, not a limit on who I'll work with. Reach out and let's find out.
